Daraz, Dialog, Samsung, Singer, and Mobitel were named among the top five visible brands by internet users in Sri Lanka, according to a survey.
The Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing (Pvt) Ltd in its Annual Market Insight Report 2021 published the top 25 brands among the country’s internet users, recently.
Further, Abans, Huawei, Softlgic Ikman and Keells were among the top ten brands in Sri Lanka in terms of their internet presence. They were followed by Hutch, SLT, Maliban, Kelly Felder and Pizza hut.
“Maintaining the online visibility of a brand is an important goal to achieve. Highly visible brands are highly likely to be remembered by potential customers, hence highly likely to be preferred over competitors during a point of purchase or a point of recommendation,” Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing said.
According to the survey, 74 percent of the Internet users in Sri Lanka use mobile applications for communication while 65 percent use for banking and finance, and 42 percent use for online Shopping.
Further, 30 percent use mobile applications and 20 percent for Food Delivery. the ride-hailing and food delivery Pickme app, Pickme was the 23rd most visible brand among the country’s internet users.
