Redington and IBM Bring Together Sri Lanka’s Enterprise Leaders at Innovation Forum 2026 to Accelerate AI-Driven Transformation

Flagship forum highlights the role of secure AI, ecosystem collaboration, and enterprise innovation in advancing Sri Lanka’s digital economy

Colombo, Sri Lanka, June 2026: Redington, in collaboration with IBM, successfully hosted the IBM Innovation Forum Sri Lanka 2026 on June 5 at The Studio, Cinnamon Life City of Dreams, bringing together senior business leaders, technology decision-makers, government representatives, and ecosystem partners to discuss the future of secure, AI-driven enterprise transformation.

Held under the theme “Building Secure, AI-Driven, and Autonomous Enterprises in Sri Lanka,” the forum provided a platform for organizations to explore how emerging technologies can accelerate innovation, strengthen resilience, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Commenting on the significance of the forum, Cem Borhan, CEO – ASEAN & South Asia, Redington, said:

“Sri Lanka is entering a defining phase in its digital transformation journey. Organizations are increasingly focused on converting technology investments into measurable business outcomes. Through the IBM Innovation Forum, we are bringing together leaders from across government, industry and technology to exchange insights and enable practical pathways for AI-driven transformation. Our collaboration with IBM reflects a shared commitment to helping enterprises innovate responsibly, strengthen resilience, and unlock long-term growth.”

Aligned with Sri Lanka’s National Digital Economy Strategy 2030, the forum featured discussions on enterprise AI adoption, cybersecurity, infrastructure modernization, data protection, operational resilience, and governance. Industry experts shared practical perspectives on how organizations can move beyond experimentation to operationalize AI securely and at scale.

The event featured keynote addresses from Gaurav Agarwal, Vice President, Technology, IBM India & South Asia, and Siddhesh Naik, Executive Director, Growth Markets, Technology Sales, IBM India & South Asia, who highlighted opportunities for enterprises to leverage AI and hybrid cloud technologies to drive innovation and business value.

A key highlight of the forum was a panel discussion featuring technology leaders from DFCC Bank, SANASA Development Bank, and Union Bank, who shared insights on scaling AI-driven transformation while maintaining security, compliance, and operational resilience.

The forum also marked the introduction of IBM Bob, an AI-first development partner built for enterprise teams, in Sri Lanka. It works across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from planning and coding to testing, deployment, and modernization, with the governance and security controls enterprises need.

Supported by technology partners Blue Chip Technical Services, N-able Private Limited, and South Asian Technologies Group (SAT), the event reinforced the importance of ecosystem collaboration in enabling enterprise innovation and accelerating technology adoption across Sri Lanka.
