According to the president’s media division, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has committed to offering financial and technical support for initiatives in Sri Lanka.
The programs include livestock development, modernization projects for the agriculture industry, nutrition projects, school lunch programs for kids, and digitalization initiatives.
Professor Anil Jayantha Fernando, Minister of Labor and Deputy Minister of Economic Development, met with foundation representatives at the Presidential Secretariat on Friday.
In a statement, the PMD said, “The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation expressed its readiness to provide support whenever needed.”
