Bond rates are flat and the Sri Lankan rupee opens lower.

Dealers reported that while bond yields remained largely unchanged, Sri Lanka’s rupee began worse on Wednesday at 300.95/301.05 to the US dollar in the spot market, down from 300.75/85 the day before.

At 8.05/15 percent, a bond with a maturity date of December 15, 2026, was quoted flat.

The stated price of a bond with a maturity date of September 15, 2027, decreased from 8.45/55 percent to 8.40/50 percent.

The stated price of a bond with a maturity date of October 15, 2028, decreased from 8.92/97 percent to 8.90/95 percent.

At 9.40/50 percent, a bond with a maturity date of December 15, 2029, was quoted flat.

At 10.35/45 percent, a bond with a maturity date of December 15, 2032, was quoted flat.

The value of stocks was rising.
