As he presented a budget for 2025, President Anura Dissanayake stated that Sri Lanka would call for investor expressions of interest for West Terminal II within a month.

A study to extend the break water for West Terminal II has already begun in Sri Lanka.
The efforts are being supported by the Asian Development Bank.
Adani and John Keells Holdings’ Colombo West Terminal I is set to launch soon.
Within a month, Sri Lanka will invite investors to Colombo West Terminal II.
