Expolanka Holding PLC (EFL) last week became the first company on Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) to reach Rs.400 billion in market capitalization.
Capitalizing on favourable pricing trends in the logistic sector mainly due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, EFL’s went on to achieve record-high revenue figures and earnings. Reflecting on the investor response to these developments, the company’s market cap on the CSE also continued to rise eventually taking the top spot this year. Since April this year, EFL’s market cap grew by fourfolds from Rs.87.35 billion to Rs. 408.5 billion.
As of last Friday, EFL’s market capitalisation accounted for 9.26 per cent of the market capitalisation of all listed firms on CSE.
