The 5-star Jetwing Beach Hotel in Negombo today (3rd of May) started operations as an Intermediate Care Facility in partnering with Access Group’s Ninewells Hospital to offer world-class health & safety with star-class hospitality through the Facility for Covid 19 Positive Patients under the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
Branded as Intermediate Care Facility at Jetwing Beach by Ninewells, the facility offers packages including the medical and hospitality requirements for a period of 10 days of quarantine confinement.

The medical facilities offered by NineWells include 24 hour In-house Medical Care, 24 hour Nursing Care
24-hour on-site standby Emergency Ambulance Service, Coverage of 24 x 7 by Consultant Physicians for emergency attendance, High Dependency Beds, Emergency Room & Primary Medication, Regular patient observation and maintenance of medical records & documents, Back up ICU care facility with private and public sector partner hospitals.
The care facility offers 5-Star Deluxe Rooms in single, double & triple categories with a large private balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean.
It noted that no charges will be required for Children under 5 years of age, sharing the room with parents.
“The offering includes medical and hospitality requirements for a period of 10 days of quarantine where reservations need to be made prior to the admission through the online reservation facility,” it advised.
Earlier, Jetwing Beach in Negombo opreated as a Covid treatment facility with the Ninewells Hospital.
The family-owned Jetwing Group is led by Hiran and Shiromal Cooray, while the Access Group is controlled by Sumal Perera and Christopher Joshua.
