The Youth Forum Leadership Summit 2024 organized by the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka will be held March 4 to 7 in Colombo.

The eagerly anticipated Youth Forum Leadership Summit is set to convene over 100 young leaders from diverse backgrounds. Hosted by the U.S. Embassy, this summit serves as a platform for youth engagement and leadership development, featuring representatives from the five American Spaces situated in Colombo, Kandy, Jaffna, Matara, and Batticaloa, alongside delegates from across the South Asian region, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Nepal.

Highlighting the importance of community service, this year’s summit will include a unique project aimed at uplifting the standards of education facilities. Participants will collaborate on enhancing a library, science lab, and vegetable garden at an underprivileged school in Colombo, fostering positive impact and sustainable development within local communities.

The U.S. Embassy’s Youth Forum comprises dynamic Sri Lankan individuals aged 18 to 25, exemplifying inclusive leadership qualities. Each Youth Forum team, composed of 15 young adults from diverse backgrounds, is dedicated to honing leadership skills, gaining project management expertise, and addressing community needs through collaborative solutions. Furthermore, the five American Spaces in Sri Lanka serve as hubs for continuous leadership development, offering opportunities for learning, exchange, and impactful initiatives throughout the year.
