Adani Group’s T K Kannan is appointed as an Alternate Director to Madhu Ramachandra Rao in the Board of Sri Lanka’s Watawala Plantation PLC with effect from today.
Kannan, who joined the Wilmar Group in 1997 as a Trading Manager for India, is currently the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Adani Wilmar Limited, a 50:50 joint venture between the Adani Group and the Wilmar Group.
He has vast experience of more than four decades in the field of oil fats and seeds and has been associated with Adani Wilmar Limited since inception.
He has been instrumental in transforming Adani Wilmar Limited from an edible oil company to an integrated food company.
He is a Commerce graduate and has done his Diploma in Administrative Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, Mumbai
